WOMEN'S INITIATIVES
As a woman state legislator, I am deeply committed to advancing policies that empower women. I firmly believe that empowering women is not only the right thing to do but also fundamental for the overall progress and success of our communities and democracy. That's why I pledge to support policies aimed at enhancing women's rights, achieving equal pay, improving women’s healthcare access, making childcare more affordable, and increasing women’s representation in all areas of society. Women make dynamic contributions to every aspect of our communities, and it is essential that we create policies and opportunities that support their success and well-being.
Drawing from my experience serving on the Advisory Council at Wisconsin Women Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) and the board of Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs (WWE), I am committed to continuing my advocacy for women across all facets of life.
FAIR PAY
I am committed to supporting the implementation of fair pay practices and holding employers accountable for wage discrimination. By ensuring that women receive equal pay for equal work, we can promote fairness, strengthen families, and build a more prosperous future for all.
HEALTHCARE
Women's healthcare needs must be prioritized, encompassing access to comprehensive reproductive health services, maternity care, mental health support, and preventative screenings. As a state legislator, I am committed to advocating for policies that ensure these essential services are accessible to all women. This includes supporting the expansion of Medicaid coverage and ensuring that insurance plans cover essential health services without discrimination. Additionally, families with children with special needs deserve access to quality healthcare, and I will work tirelessly to ensure they receive the support and resources they need.
AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE
Supporting initiatives to make childcare more affordable and accessible is essential for empowering women and ensuring economic opportunity for all. As a state legislator, I am committed to providing incentives and assistance to childcare providers, making quality care more attainable for families. No woman should ever have to choose between her career aspirations and the well-being of her family.
A SEAT AT THE TABLE
Encouraging women's leadership and representation across various sectors is vital for fostering diversity and inclusivity. As a state legislator, I am committed to advocating for programs that offer mentorship, training, and resources to empower women to pursue and excel in leadership roles. I will spearhead initiatives aimed at creating mentorship programs specifically tailored to women, providing opportunities for them to engage in politics, business, and other key areas. By nurturing and supporting women's leadership aspirations, we can ensure their perspectives are valued in decision-making processes, leading to more equitable and effective outcomes for our communities.
